Contactor type amf panels as you would guess include electrical contactors as their switching devices. These contactors are usually sited side by side within the panel and are electrically and mechanically interlocked. These interlocks are to prevent any inadvertent cross over of the two supplies. The contactors can be triple pole or four pole for three phase three wire systems and three phase four wire systems respectively. The range of current rating associated with contactor type amf panels is from 60 Amps up to 700 Amps.
